Contract Ratification Meetings

The negotiation teams have agreed on the
proposed amendments to our,
Standard Sheet Metal & Roofing Working Agreement.
between
Sheet Metal Worker International Association Local 276
and
Vancouver Island Sheet Metal Contractors Association
(VISMCA)
 
The Union negotiating committee met several times with our signatory contractors through February, March, and April to bargain a new collective agreement. Both Negotiation committees have agreed on the proposed changes. VISMCA will be voting on these changes on April 16th. We will be either voting on the proposed changes to our agreement or discussing the next steps at the upcoming meetings.

• Campbell River,  Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025, The Anchor Inn 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
• Courtenay, Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025 Westerly Hotel 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
• Victoria, Thursday, April 24th, 2025 Union Office 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
• Nanaimo, Friday, April 25th, 2025 477 Wallace Rd 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

All votes will be counted on Friday, April 25, 2025. The results of the ratification vote will be posted on our website www.smwia276.ca and will be emailed out to the membership.
