Pension Information Session
Local 276 will be providing two pension information nights for members in October.
These sessions are geared to all members, from new apprentices, looking to see how their pension works, to members nearing retirement and the option that are available to them
We will have people from DA Townley and George & Bell, our Pension plan administers, on hand to help explain the retirement road map.
The local feels that this is an important opportunity for apprentices, so we have included this as one of the course's that will count towards their meeting grant, as out lined below.
Locations:
Victoria – October 12th from 6pm to 8pm
Union Hall #302- 791 Goldstream Ave.
Nanaimo – October 13th from 6pm to 8pm
#306- 477 Wallace St
Meeting Grant Guidelines
As a way of supporting our apprentices while they attend school, we are happy to offer up to $450.00 to those who attend union meetings and/or courses based on the following:
Victoria meetings: held on the first Thursday of every month with the exception of July and August.
Up-Island meetings: held on a special called basis.
Meetings and courses are valid for a period of 1 year prior to schooling date. Example: School starts June 2021; eligible meetings & courses will be from June 2020- May 2021.
